Corporation Assembled

In the above shot, we see the contents of the Corporation set. The left arms (gun supporting arms) are in the bag on the top left, and the bag on the right contains the parts to make the Corporation Sergeant (Sergeant Cruise).
The sprue on the left side has 3 special weapons (which don't have any impact in Project Pandora) and the 3 sprues on the bottom are for the heads.

The only thing to note about assembling these marines are the arms. There are 3 different variants of right arms, and 3 variants of left arms. Only one set of right arms matches to a corresponding set of left arms. Once you've sorted that out, it's fairly straight forward.

Looking at the completed result, you're able to make a nice variation of troops, and the Sergeant definitely looks unique amongst them. There is a spare head to use with the Sergeant as well, and I didn't fancy using the special weapon options for my marines.

That didn't take too long, so now it's onto the Veer-myn!

Silver Eagle Tactical Squad Complete

Silver Eagle Tactical Squad: click to enlarge
Well, what a fantastic little side-project! I think they turned out great, and I'm even considering painting up more Space Marines to make a small Silver Eagle army. That's probably just another hobbying pipe-dream that I'll never get around too, but at least I've got a tactical squad to build up from.
Oh, I touched up the white shoulders on my Sergeant (after some helpful forum feedback), and my buddy gave me a nice photo background that I've started using.
Still waiting on those bases, so I guess when they come around I'll finish these guys off and take another happy snap.

Anyways, now that this is done, I'm free to start on the contents of Project Pandora! Stay tuned!

Awesome. So Awesome.

I arrived home yesterday to find my copy of Project Pandora: Grim Cargo! In my haste to tear open it's contents and finally grasp the awesomeness within, I didn't really snap any unboxing shots, but here are some links to some great unboxing reviews that I watched in anticipation of my delivery:
I'm going to finish off my Silver Eagles - I've got the last five of them base coated and washed (made an efficient production line of the process as well!), so just the last coat and final highlight to do. I'm still undecided on what colour scheme I want for the Corporation and Veer-myn, but finishing off the Silver Eagles will give me some time to think on it.
I'll also be reading through the rulebook during my commutes to and from work, and probably sneaking a few reading sessions during the day too.

I'll post a short unboxing review soon - once I've spent a bit more time checking out the contents in more detail!

Silver Eagle Combat Squad

Silver Eagle Combat Squad (Click to Enlarge)
I finished off the other three Silver Eagles last night, and the Combat Squad is lookin mean. The other five marines are assembled and undercoated, ready for some paint tonight to round off the Tactical Squad.
Oh, I’m waiting on a delivery on some Back-to-Base-ix Industrial bases, to complete the Space Ship Interior aesthetic I’m going for.

Project Pandora: Grim Cargo should be arriving in the mail any day now and my excitement is tangible! Painting up these marines have achieved my goal of stemming my excitement somewhat, and also helped me get back into a painting groove.

Hopefully PP:GC will arrive before my next post!

Silver Eagle Sergeant

I made this guy from my 'box-o-marine' parts, so he's a mish-mash of bits - I think his bolter arm is from the Dark Angel Veteran sprue, his power fist is from the Space Wolves Marine sprue, his backpack is from the AoBR Sergeant... no idea where the head came from though.

I went for a bit more of a dynamic pose, which stands out amongst the rest of the AoBR marines I'm painting up for the squad. I got some good work done on the rest of the marines too, but I'll just post photos when I've finished a Combat Squad, then the full Tactical Squad.

Silver Eagle Complete

Here’s a shot of my completed Silver Eagle Space Marine, with the highlighting all done. I’m quite happy with the colour scheme, and I’ve got another 4 marines (including a Sergeant) base coated, washed, and ready for their final coat.

Hopefully I can knock out the Sergeant tonight, and make some progress on the rest of the Combat Squad.

Stay tuned, more Silver Eagles to come!

Sync's Silver Eagles

So, here’s what I did with an old Assault on Black Reach Space Marine I had lying around. The Silver Eagles are an existing Space Marine Chapter I found online, and since there I couldn't find any background or pictures, I thought I'd take some creative liberties.

I did fiddle with a few other colour schemes before settling on this. I found it quite difficult coming up with an original colour scheme. Well, at least I think it’s original – I haven’t seen any Space Marine chapter like this before, but then again I'm not too well versed on current Chapters of the Imperium.
Anyways, I seem to have misplaced my ‘box-o-marines’ but hopefully I’m able to find the rest of the squad before I finish painting the 5 marines I did find!

I'm pretty happy with how this guy turned out but I'll touch up the highlights, so more photos to come!

Something WICKED this way comes!

I've had a hard time trying to chase down a copy of Project Pandora; Grim Cargo. With the lack of Mantic support down here in Australia, I’ve had to order a copy from the UK, which means I’m going to be waiting a long while for delivery!

That’s a long wait, especially if you’re really excited about a game – so I thought I’d start on a little side project while in an attempt to sate my excitement. I’m going to create some proxy models to use for Project Pandora with some existing models I’ve got lying around.

I’ve got a bunch of Space Marines lying around (I think most miniature wargamers do!) so I thought I’d start on them to make up a proxy force for the Corporation. I’ve got a few ideas about what models I can proxy for the Ver-myn but I’ll confirm what I’ve got hiding in my collection before I make any decisions.

Stay tuned for Project Pandora: Grim Cargo action!
